Button with two lightning strikes supporting an upright spear above a scroll with unit title, mounted on printed form with hand-written details and a red wax seal on reverse.

Chief Inspectorate of Clothing, Pattern Number 3643. Working Pattern approved 11 December 1945.

'sealed pattern' is a prototype of any item that the British Army issued to soldiers. It provided clothing or equipment suppliers with an example to copy.
