Frock coat worn by Field Marshal the Duke of Wellington, 1845 (c)
This type of coat was something of a trademark for Wellington and we wore many similar ones, usually grey or blue, during his campaigns in India, Spain and at Waterloo. This particular coat was worn for a portrait painted by Andrew Morton in 1845.
