Combat helmet, GS Mark 6, pattern 1986, with a desert Disruptive Pattern Material (DPM) cover.
This helmet was used by Major Robin Watt, The Royal Hussars (Prince of Wales's Own), during the Gulf War (1990-1991). It has a cover in desert camouflage to aid concealment. It also includes the owner's blood group written on the side. This would save medics valuable time should they need to perform a blood transfusion.
