'ATS', recruiting poster, Auxiliary Territorial Service, 1942

Colour lithograph information poster, after Abram Games (1914-1996), published by HM Stationery Office, 1941.

This recruitment poster depicts the head-and-shoulders of a uniformed Auxiliary Territorial Service (ATS) woman of World War Two (1939-1945). Games' designed several posters for the ATS, some of which were criticised for being too glamorous.
