Cap badge worn by Captain Robert Sinclair Shiels, Army Legal Corps, 1985 (c)

Metal badge with the blindfolded figure of Justice holding sword and scales, superimposed on a globe on crossed swords, surmounted by a crowned lion and crown, within a circlet bearing the motto, 'Justitia in Arms', with a scroll below bearing the unit title, 'Army Legal Corps'.

The Army Legal Corps was responsible for providing legal support at all levels of the British Army. In 1992, it became a branch of the newly formed Adjutant General's Corps.
