A column of the 2/1st Hertfordshire Yeomanry on the march to war stations, August 1914

The 1/1st Hertfordshire Yeomanry was mobilised in August 1914 and sent to Egypt with the Yeomanry Mounted Brigade. They later moved to Gallipoli as dismounted troops attached to the 2nd Mounted Division.
