Signal from Major-General Roy Urquhart to Lieutenant-General Frederick Browning, 24 September 1944

Urquhart, commanding 1st Airborne Division, outlines his desperate situation and requests immediate assistance in strength from the commander of 1st British Airborne Corps. By this date, 1st Airborne was short of supplies and pinched into a small area around Oosterbeek.

From a collection of papers relating to Operation MARKET GARDEN, the surrender of Bergen, and reports on concentration camps, 1945.
