Other ranks' cap badge, The Royal Warwickshire Regiment, 1940 (c)
This regiment's badge depicts an antelope with a coronet around its neck with a rope attached. This is draped towards the front, then over its back, falling to the near side. The antelope stands on a scroll inscribed with the unit title.
Traditionally, the antelope badge is associated with the Warwickshire Regiment's service in Spain during the War of the Spanish Succession (1704-1711) when it captured an enemy standard that bore this animal's image.
