A sergeant from the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders instructing an Auxiliary Territorial Service platoon on the square at Cameron Barracks, Inverness, early 1939. The only item of issued uniform for the ATS personnel were the kilts issued in the ancient Cameron tartan.
