A member of the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps in a graveyard at Etaples, France, 1918

Photograph, World War One, Western Front (1914-1918), 1918.

The grave being tended by the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps (WAAC) gardener was that of Betty Stevenson. After the war, the wooden crosses over the graves were replaced by official white stone markers.
