Kuwait Liberation Medal awarded to Sergeant Trevor Hugh Smith, Royal Anglian Regiment, 1991

Circular medal with, on the obverse, Kuwait's coat of arms featuring a dhow and a falcon, with the title of the medal in Arabic letters. On the reverse is a map of Kuwait on a rayed ground. The medal is suspended from a black, red, white and green ribbon.

The Kuwait Liberation Medal was issued by the Kuwaiti Government from 1994 to Kuwaiti and foreign service personnel who served in the Gulf War and its aftermath, 1990-1993.

From a medal group including Queen's Gallantry Medal; General Service Medal 1962-2007, with clasp, 'Northern Ireland'; Gulf Medal 1990-91, with clasp, '16 Jan - 28 Feb 1991' and Medal for the Liberation of Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, 1991.

Sergeant Trevor Smith received his Queen's Gallantry Medal in February 1991 for gallantry in the Gulf War (1990-1991).
