Flintlock rifled carbine, 1800 (c)
Made by Henry Nock, 1800 (c).
This gun was not standard issue for the Army and would have been purchased privately. Henry Nock was appointed King George III's gunmaker in 1804. A rifled weapon has a groove in the barrel which makes the bullet spin. Spinning makes the bullet travel further and more accurately.
