Recruits to the 17th Dogra Regiment practice their bayonet fighting techniques during their training at the regimental depot in Jullunder. The soldiers probably belonged to the 10th (Training) Battalion. During the Second World War soldiers from the 17th Dogras fought in Malaya (1941-1942) and Burma (1943-1945).
