The Royal Munster Fusiliers recruited from Clare, Cork, Kerry and Limerick, four of the counties in the province of Munster in south-west Ireland. The party was commanded by Major Ormrood and included 100 Kerrymen accompanied by the regimental band and drums.
From an album compiled by and relating to the career of Lieutenant-Colonel Francis Ambrose D'Oyly Goddard, Royal Munster Fusiliers.
