At Thika Station, Kenya, awaiting embarkation for an unknown destination, 11 March 1942

The 4th (Uganda) Battalion, The King's African Rifles, waiting to embark at Thika Station in Kenya, en route to the war against Japan in the Far East. They had already served with distinction in Ethiopia, helping to defeat the Italians.
