Wooden practice sword, 1796
Although it looks like a toy sword, this very rare wooden sword was made for training new recruits. Usually real swords were used for training. With its distinctive curved blade, it is similar to the Pattern 1796 Light Cavalry sword. It was used by the Percy Tenantry Volunteer Cavalry in Northumberland.
