Log and photographic record of an expedition to Sinai by members of the Women's Royal Army Corps, 26 October to 30 October 1950
This account begins with details of the 20 women selected, then describes their training. Among the skills required were cooking, map reading, camping experience and physical fitness. The expedition departed from Lady Smith Camp at Fayid and travelled 250 miles by truck into the Sinai desert, where they visited St. Catherine's Monastery. They later journeyed on to the Gulf of Suez.
