'The Inniskilling Dragoons (with General French's Division) passing Arundel to Modder River (Dec. 26)', 1899

The 6th Inniskilling Dragoons were despatched to South Africa from Dundalk in Ireland on the outbreak of war there in 1899. They were initially based at Arundel in the Transvaal, but in 1900 the regiment moved to Belfast. For the remainder of the war the Inniskillings were employed in the mobile operations against the Boer guerillas on the veldt.

From a box of 89 stereoscopic cards entitled, 'South African War through the Stereoscope Pt 2 Vol 1', published by Underwood and Underwood and produced by Works and Sun Sculpture Studios, 1900 (c).
