Ration book of Gladys Kate Ballard, Women's Army Auxiliary Corps, 26 October to 5 November 1918
Ration books were introduced in 1918 to make obtaining food fairer and ensure that everyone received their fair share. This card includes ration stamps for cheese, jam, lard, tea, sugar, butter and margarine.
