Certificate of employment during the war of Worker Gladys Kate Ballard, Women's Army Auxiliary Corps, 1920
This Army form Z.29 outlines Ballard's work as a clerk with the corps. She had worked in the same capacity in civilian life. Her commanding officer wrote that she was a 'very clever and conscientious. One of the cleverest girls I have come across and has done excellent work of a high order during her entire period of service and should always be able to find high class employment. I cannot say too much on her behalf'.
