Typescript memoirs of Vere Brodie, Queen Mary's Army Auxiliary Corps, 1921
Her account describes the leaving of St Pol Camp in September 1921, farewell gatherings, a dance attended by troops, the director and the Imperial War Graves Commission, the journey home to Victoria station and demobilisation. On 28 September 1921 she laid flowers at the Cenotaph and visited grave of Unknown Warrior at Westminster Abbey as it was St Pol Camp that the Unknown Warrior was chosen and lay the night of 8-9 November 1920.
