Telegram regarding the investiture of Ethel Cartledge, Women's Army Auxiliary Corps, at Buckingham Palace, February 1919
Forewoman Clerk Cartledge received the Military Medal for continuing with her work during air raids at her camp in France. This was despite having her foot injured by falling wreckage. This telegram, sent to her home at Cheetham Hill, Manchester, includes the order that uniform and gloves be worn.
