Recruits in camp, October 1914

Picture postcard, World War One, Home Front (1914-1918), 1914.

Sent by Trooper Graham Harry Ellis of 'A' Squadron, 3rd County London Yeomanry, to his father, the message on the card states: 'The King inspected us today, it took him about four hours. All the Division was out, about 5,000. We have been measured up for new uniforms so it looks like something's happening'.
