Sepoys of the 1st Battalion, 15th Punjab Regiment, 1937

The battalion, under the command of Major William Colbourne, was then serving in Tibet during a British political expedition to Lhasa. After serving with distinction during the Second World War (1939-1945) the battalion was allocated to the Pakistan Army at independence and partition in 1947.
