Photograph, World War Two, Italy (1943-1945), 1945.
The Kangaroo was an armoured personnel carrier (APC) based on a converted Sherman or Ram tank chassis. Protected with thicker armour and more mobile than the Bren Carrier, the kangaroo was an ideal vehicle for transporting tank supporting infantry. It could carry 11 men plus two crew.
