Photograph by Warrant Officer 2 David Langham, 81 Ordnance Company, Royal Army Ordnance Corps. From a collection relating to the South Atlantic (Falklands War) campaign of 1982.
During Operation Corporate San Carlos Water was one of the landing points for the British ground forces. As well as a depot for Argentine prisoners Ajax Bay was also the site of a field hospital for casualties.
