'The Royal Tournament', poster, 1999

Publicity poster for the last Royal Tournament at Earl's Court in London in 1999. The poster has the strap-line, 'The Last Run', over a picture of the Royal Navy field gun competition which was an annual feature of the show. The contest between Royal Navy teams is reputed to have its origin in the Boer War (1899-1902) when the Naval Brigade transported guns as part of the force tasked with relieving the Siege of Ladysmith.
