Leyland Hippo Mk II 10 ton 6x4 GS truck, pattern 1944, 1945

Introduced in 1944 as a heavy load carrier, over 1000 of these vehicles were built. Many post-1945 examples also used van-type bodies. The Hippo remained in use with the British Army into the 1970s.
