'Our troops charge forward into Bernafay Wood and clear the Bosche out of their entrenchments', 1916

Stereoscopic photograph, World War One, Western Front (1914-1918), 1916.

Bernafay Wood is located to the east of Montauban village on the Somme. It was captured during the Battle of Albert on 3 and 4 July 1916 by the 9th (Scottish) Division who also relieved the 30th Division at nearby Montauban.
