Drumsticks, 1811
Drums were an important way of communicating on the battlefield. They were a rallying point and men also marched in time with drumbeats.
These drumsticks belonged to Drum Major John Goodger of the 94th Regiment of Foot who used them during the Peninsular War (1808-1814).
