M1913 discus grenade, 1916 (c)
This German grenade has tubes on its edge, each containing a detonator. Any of these making contact with a hard surface would cause the grenade to explode. It was usually thrown with a spinning motion, even bouncing across mud and water-filled shell holes like a pebble.
