Regimental colours, 3rd (The East Kent) Regiment of Foot (The Buffs), 1860 (c)

Miniature painting on ivory, unknown artist, 1860 (c). In a glazed wooden frame.

The Regimental Colour and Queen's Colour of The Buffs, with shafts crossed, with a crown above and a dragon below.

This miniature belonged to General Sir Charles Van Straubenzee GCB (1812-1892) and was presented to the Regiment by his widow in 1902, after his death.
