Pattern 1814 Household Cavalry Officer's dress sword used by Captain (later Lieutenant-Colonel) Tyrwhitt Drake, Royal Horse Guards
This sword would have been carried by an officer wearing full dress. It has a long double-fullered blade and an unusual ornate gilt hilt previously unseen in British Military swords. The design of this weapon is closely akin to Continental types.
