Morris Commercial CDSW 30 cwt 6x4 lorry, 1938
Introduced as a light recovery vehicle or artillery tractor by Morris Commercial Ltd in 1938, this vehicle was powered by a Morris 6 cylinder 25 hp petrol engine. It remained in production until 1944 although it was gradually being phased out by the Quad artillery tractor prior to this date. Between 1939 and 1944 the Morris CDSW tractors were actually built by Austin and Wolseley. The two companies built over 12,000 vehicles. This example was used by the Royal Corps of Transport during World War Two.
