Cap badge, other ranks, The Royal Hampshire Regiment, 1971 (c)

This badge depicts the Hampshire Rose with a Royal Tiger on a scroll above it. Both are enclosed by a crown and laurel wreath on the lower part of which is a scroll inscribed 'Royal Hampshire'.

The officers' badge of the Royal Hampshire Regiment was different. It consisted of an eight-pointed star on the centre of which was the Garter with accompanying motto surrounding the Hampshire Rose. This was surmounted by a crown.
