Circular silver medal with, on the obverse, a bust of King George VI, with the inscription, 'Georgivs VI D: G:BR: Omn: Rex et Indiae Imp.'. On the reverse, designed by Edward Carter Preston, Winged Victory placing a wreath on the wings and sword, symbols of the Royal Air Force and The Army; suspended on a purple and green corded silk ribbon, with the silver clasps, 'Malaya', and 'Palestine'.
