Wool beret made for Lieutenant Timothy Hall, Parachute Squadron, Royal Engineers, 1944 (c)
This beret was made for Lieutenant Hall by his fellow prisoners of war in Germany as his original issued beret was stolen. Although it was made to replace his Royal Engineers beret, it is embroidered with a cloth badge depicting a grenade, a badge worn by the Royal Artillery.
