Manuscript letter sent by Captain William Henry Hare to his mother, 13 February 1834
Hare's letter describes a stormy crossing to Cork by ship with his regiment, the 51st (2nd Yorkshire, West Riding) Regiment of Foot (Light Infantry). They spent the next three years stationed in Ireland.
