Collar badge, other ranks', Ulster Defence Regiment, 1970
This infantry unit was formed in 1970 during 'The Troubles (1969-2007). It served in Northern Ireland until 1992, when it was merged into The Royal Irish Regiment.
The regiment's badge consisted of a 'Maid of Erin' style harp surmounted by a St Edward Crown. This was a copy of The Royal Ulster Rifles' badge, but without that regiment's Latin motto.
