Helmet, Fedayeen Forces, 2003 (c)
'Darth Vader' helmet of the Fedayeen forces who fought in support of Saddam Hussein in the Iraq War, 2003. Founded by Saddam's son Uday in 1995, the Fedayeen forces operated above and beyond the political and legal structures of the country. Its name means 'men of sacrifice'. Intensely loyal to Saddam, and answerable only to the President's family, the Fedayeen was frequently employed to supplement the activities of the regular Army.
