Statement of service of Lieutenant-Colonel Williamm Gomm, Coldstream Guards, 11 January 1815
Gomm transferred from the 9th Foot to the Coldstream Guards on 25 July 1814. He had previously fought at Roliça (1808), Vimeiro (1808),Corunna (1809), Bussaco (1810), Fuentes de Oñoro (1811), Ciudad Rodrigo (1812), Badajoz (1812) where he was wounded, and Salamanca (1812). After that he took part in the Siege of Burgos (1812), the Battle of Vitoria (1813), the Siege of San Sebastián (1813) and the Battle of Nivelle (1813).
