The Women's Royal Army Corps (WRAC) was formed in 1949, absorbing the remaining members of the Auxiliary Territorial Service (ATS) and recruiting more women into the British Army. As time went on, the trades available to women in the Army increased to over 40 including clerks, dog handlers, intelligence analysts, PTIs and military police women.
