A reservist serving with the Territorial Army London Regiment (Royal Green Jackets), in the role of a Community Liaison Officer, Iraq, July 2004

Digital photograph taken by Warrant Officer 2nd Class Giles Penfound, Army Media Operations, Operation TELIC 4, 5 July 2004.

This non-commissioned officer, one of many reservists deployed to Iraq, was working as a liaison officer with a Provisional Support Liaison Team in the Maysan area, attempting, in the face of an increasingly violent insurgency, to promote relationships with local people and support the wider reconstruction of Iraq after the Coalition invasion of 2003.

From a CD entitled 'Iraq Conflict. Operation Telic', compiled by WO2 Penfound, for an exhibition at the National Army Museum.
