Screw-top bottle of Army Anti-Mosquito cream, 1941
Manufactured by Martindale, creams such as this were used by soldiers serving in the Far East campaign during World War Two (1941-1945). In Burma in particular, soldiers faced a plethora of deadly tropical diseases; malaria was endemic. Many more soldiers fell victim to disease than were killed or wounded by the enemy.
