'Survive to Fight', June 1983

Ringbound booklet prepared by the Director of Army Training and printed by HMSO, June 1983.

'Survive to Fight' was issued to all soldiers in the Regular Army and reserve during the Cold War. Over 84 pages it covered multiple tasks, threats and instructions on how soldiers could respond to them to protect themselves from nuclear, biological or chemical attack - from decontaminating their clothes to defecating while still wearing their NBC protective suits.
