'Survive to Fight' was issued to all soldiers in the Regular Army and reserve during the Cold War. Over 84 pages it covered multiple tasks, threats and instructions on how soldiers could respond to them to protect themselves from nuclear, biological or chemical attack - from decontaminating their clothes to defecating while still wearing their NBC protective suits.
