Percussion side-hammer revolver, possibly .38 inch calibre, 1860s (c)

This unusual revolver, possibly of Belgian design, was carried by British Army Roman Catholic chaplain A M Daley in Burma during World War Two (1939-1945). As a chaplain he should not have been carrying a firearm under the Geneva Convention.
