Musket ball for the .753 in calibre Pattern 1842 smoothbore musket, 1842 (c)

Although the new Minié Rifle made the Pattern 1842 musket obsolete, it was still used early in the Crimean War (1854-1856). This example ball is slightly smaller than the official calibre.
