German stick grenade, 1918 (c)
The German stick grenade was very different to the British designs, with its wooden handle to help the soldier throw it further. British Tommies knew them as 'potato mashers' after their distinctive shape. This example was collected by Captain Eustace Baker of the Duke of Cambridge's Own (Middlesex Regiment).
