The Provincial Reconstruction Team (PRT) based in Lashkar Gah was tasked with helping the authorities in Helmand Province to rebuild its civilian infrastructure, including hospitals and schools. The Operations Company, working with Afghan National Police, to provide security on the ground to allow this work to be carried out.
