The Entertainments National Service Association (ENSA) was established in 1939 to provide entertainment for military personnel. ENSA operated as part of the Navy, Army and Air Force Institutes (NAAFI). It also provided concerts for the general public as in this photograph of an ENSA show for Londoners sheltering in Aldwych underground station.
